BTL Technologies Inc. was recently awarded the NE MATO IDIQ, which has opened up a host of new career opportunities in the Naval Medical Center (NMCP) in Portsmouth, Va. The U.S. Navy’s oldest continuously operating hospital, the NMCP is nationally acclaimed with state-of-the-art medical technology for research and treatment. Like BTL, the NMCP is dedicated to serving the military and their family members with honor, courage and commitment.
This week, we are searching for five unique Medical Assistants to serve at the NMCP. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, as they must maintain and record confidential patient information in the form of records and logs. It is imperative that they have interpersonal skills as they will be performing routine screenings on little humans whose patience is short and whose parents are concerned. This person must be consistent as they will have multiple patients, procedures, and impromptu cases to tend to in a day. Finally, our ideal candidate will have an innate passion for their patients and highly respect all aspects of the stringent guidelines of the medical process.
All candidates must have graduated from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical technologists, or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces. All candidates must also maintain a current certification in one of the following: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course.
